Fall Workshops on Writing and Literacy for Teachers

IWP's Fall Workshops feature presentations on best practices in literacy education and the teaching of writing by the Teacher-Consultants of the Indiana Writing Project. Workshop topics include "Preparing for Indiana Standardized Testing" and "The Many Faces of Writer's Notebook." Online Book Studies

Sept. 27 - Nov. 15, 2014

Buy the book and join the conversation with other teachers right from your own home. Participants will read and post ideas, questions and reflections on Schoology each week, as we explore two trending topics: boys writers and integrating nonfiction into the classroom. Invitational Summer Institute

At the core of our model of "teachers teaching teachers" is the Invitational Summer Institute.  In 2014, IWP offered its twenty-ninth Summer Institute, bringing together teachers of writing in all disciplines. 





  • OCT. 18: Workshops on "Pre-Emergent Writing: Preschool through First Grade" and "Transitioning to the New Indiana Literacy Standards." CANCELED.
  • NOV. 8: Preparing students for ISTEP testing - all levels. Register.
